The Art of Wealth Curation.

An independent wealth consultancy in Cape Town since 2012. Financial planning, investment management, retirement and estate advice.

02 — About

Complexity, handled.

BKA Wealth is an independent wealth consultancy in Durbanville, Cape Town. Petri Beyers and Paul Kotze founded the practice in 2012 as Beyers Kotze & Associates, and we have grown into a complete financial planning service for individuals and businesses. As a Graviton Partner within the Sanlam Group, we sit alongside South Africa’s leading investment houses and insurers, unencumbered by any of them. Our work begins with the client, never the product.

Our practice is built on a few simple ideas. That wealth, well looked after, becomes a long conversation. That the client comes before the product. That what someone worries about, where they want to go, and what they are working towards matter more than any spreadsheet. We curate portfolios and plans the way a private gallery curates a collection: patiently, deliberately, and always with the owner in view. Every client has direct access to the people managing their affairs.

To bring our clients the best thinking the industry has to offer, we work in close partnership with Graviton Wealth Management. Graviton gives us specialist support across investments, compliance, and research, which means our clients have the resources of a much larger investment house behind them, while our advice stays entirely our own. A small practice that knows your file, backed by institutional depth when it counts.

03 — Approach

Four quiet convictions.

We hold ourselves to a small, stubborn set of principles. They sound simple. In an industry wired for noise, they are anything but.

01 — Pillar

Independent.

No house view. No proprietary product. No quota. Our advice is paid for by the client and answers only to the client.

02 — Pillar

Considered.

We move at the pace of good decisions. Every recommendation is researched, written down and explained before it is implemented.

03 — Pillar

Enduring.

We measure success in decades and generations. The portfolios we build are designed to be inherited, not replaced.

04 — Pillar

Capable.

A small practice with a deep bench. Through our Graviton partnership, every client has institutional resources at hand and a single adviser to call.

04 — Services

A full remit, in three.

Eight disciplines, grouped the way we actually use them — growing the assets, protecting them, and passing them on.

01

The Portfolio

Building and managing the assets that compound over decades.

  • Investment Planning

Diversified local and global portfolios, actively managed against your objectives, not a benchmark.

What you walk away with A written investment policy statement, a quarterly performance review, and a portfolio you can read in five minutes.

    Investment planning in detail
  • Retirement Planning

A sustainable income architecture built for decades, not market cycles.

What you walk away with A drawdown plan stress tested against three market scenarios, a written income strategy, and an annual review as your circumstances shift.

    Retirement planning in detail
  • Offshore & Diversification

Externalisation, hard currency portfolios and global custody for clients in eight jurisdictions.

What you walk away with Externalisation guidance, a hard currency portfolio aligned to your chosen jurisdiction, and ongoing custody and reporting.

    Offshore investing in detail
02

The Protection

Defending what you have built against the shocks you cannot predict.

  • Tax Planning

Quietly efficient structuring across SARS, retirement vehicles and offshore allowances.

What you walk away with A coordinated plan across personal, retirement and offshore taxes, working alongside your accountant and optimised for your stage of life.

    Tax planning in detail
  • Risk & Insurance

Life, disability, severe illness and short term cover, sized to the gap, not the brochure.

What you walk away with A gap analysis of your existing cover, a recommendation costed across providers, and ongoing review as life changes.

    Risk and insurance in detail
  • Business & Succession

Buy and sell agreements, key person cover, employee benefits and exit planning for owner managed businesses.

What you walk away with Buy and sell agreement structuring, key person and contingent liability cover, and an exit framework for when the time comes.

Business and succession planning in detail
03

The Legacy

The slow, deliberate work of what outlasts you.

  • Estate & Will

Fiduciary structuring, will drafting and executor support, so your intentions outlast the paperwork.

What you walk away with A drafted will, executor and trustee guidance, and a fiduciary structure that minimises delay, dispute and tax.

    Estate planning in detail
  • Family Wealth

Multigenerational planning, family governance and the gentle work of preparing heirs.

What you walk away with Family governance conversations, a structured wealth transfer plan, and the slow work of preparing the next generation to inherit well.

05 — The Journey

From a first conversation to a lasting one.

01
Step 01

A first conversation

A complimentary meeting, in person in Durbanville or virtually. We listen before we advise.

02
Step 02

Discovery & analysis

We map your current position, obligations and intentions, and stress-test it against the life you want.

03
Step 03

A written plan

A clear, costed strategy across investments, structures and protection — yours to keep, with or without us.

04
Step 04

Stewardship & review

Quarterly reporting, annual reviews and direct access between them. The plan adapts as life does.

Step 01
Step 02
Step 03
Step 04
06 — In their words

Petri has been our adviser for more than a decade. He is the person we ring before any large decision, financial or otherwise. The advice is always considered and quietly delivered, and it has been right far more often than I would like to admit.
